The Colorado Utah Hinterlands Adventure

These were taking from the town of Gateway, Colorado, which is near the border with Utah.  Took a road bike on a dirt road, which is not advisable, but did get some epic shots.

I could spend the rest of my life in a place like that. A good portion of it, at any rate. FWIW.......took a 4-day rafting trip on the Colorado many years ago....we put in near Fruita, about 30 or so miles north of Gateway, as the Injun's arrow flies. Just magnificent scenery.

Well, Cappy, you've road tripped right on through Montrose County. I'd had a plot rattling around my head, but never really had the right setting come to mind. Then we road tripped from Colorado Springs over to Moab via Ouray and the west side of Montrose County just fit what I was looking for. It's beautiful country.
