Regarding the Christian article on MGTOW "lost boys."

Rollo Tomassi said it well on Dalrock's blog a while back. There is no redeeming the modern evangelical church. It will remain out of touch with reality until the final church building closes and is sold off to be converted into a mosque.

Any church that promotes a traditional lifestyle, i.e. marrying young and having a family, will have to built from the bottom up.

Well, that didn't last long.

Points to you for not editing them out though.

Hey Cap'n - here is a link to a post on my blog about how progressives think intent is all that matters... much like a five year old.

The difficulty of reading a book is actually supposed to help you absorb information better because of the longer processing time. It's called disfluency and is well worth a Google if you're ever bored.

Part of the problem with the Evangelical church as it is today is it's little more than country club atmosphere. It's made an idol out of the couples with children model and caters to those fitting that mold, to the exclusion of everyone else.

The Apostle Paul made it very clear not everyone is cut out for marriage; many other early church leaders were single as well. You wouldn't know it today with the forcing of the family on everyone and the subsequent alienation of everyone not fitting that mold, not to mention single people now outnumber married people in the general population.

I was watching a movie not long ago where a preacher laments he stayed with "comfortable" subjects to appease his congregation as he enjoyed the security and didn't want to ruffle feathers, and now it had cost him greatly. I think the same mindset infects much of the church today. Sometimes the truth isn't a pleasant thing to confront.

The church will continue to decline on its current course, and this article really takes aim at the family first philosophy so much a part of church life today.

One more thing, these churches do absolutely nothing to address why men are not marrying, and choosing a single life instead. The churches bemoan and blame men, as if avoiding predatory women and their henchmen in the divorce courts isn't a prudent course of action. No wonder men are leaving the church in droves.
